Prevent Child Abuse America (PCAA)
Prevent Child Abuse America is a national organization that works to ensure the healthy development of all children and prevent child abuse before it occurs. We are proud to partner with them as they create a better world for all children! In the fall, we partner with Alex and Ani, and donate the proceeds from our night of sales to PCAA. In the spring, we have our largest philanthropy event- a 90s themed "Its Great to be a Kid" carnival- where we have games, food, and a band in Mad Bowl for the afternoon! We are pleased to announce that this past year, thanks to the hard work of our philanthropy chair Michaela Brown, we collected almost $4,000 for PCAA!

Jewish Women International works to empower women in ways that align with Sigma Delta Tau's beliefs. JWI encourages financial literacy and economic independence, teaches women about the importance of safe and smart dating, and strives for the proliferation of women in leadership positions.
Our chapter supports JWI by selling a collaborative nail polish made with OPI and participating in their "Vote like a Girl" campaign.
Create Community Week
Create Community Week is an event in the fall where sisters volunteer at various organizations throughout Charlottesville. This year, we worked at Loaves and Fishes, the Ronald McDonald house, Habitat for Humanity and Martha Jefferson. We also collected donations for food banks, and helped UVA students register to vote through JWI's Vote Like a Girl campaign.
Community Service
We are proud to have sisters volunteering in various organizations around grounds! Some of our sisters are Alternative Spring Break site leaders, program directors at Madison House, and tutors or mentors throughout the Charlottesville community. We are so proud of the lasting impacts our sisters are making.
